Day 81

I met a lovely guy on the train today. He had pringles so I befriended him and we spent 2 and a half hours chatting. I got some pringles in the end.

Day 80

I hung out in the city with Binny, Jono and Chris today. I love friends! I always forget how happy I am when I am around them. I picked up a cat too, Binny was proud of me!

Day 79

Girls are scary. I am always particularly proud of myself when I spend an extended amount of time with only women. Tonight I even talked to a year 9 girl- voluntarily!

Day 78

I've had Panadeine Forte three times in my life and on all three occasions I have thrown up. I am beginning to think there is some kind of correlation..
I got out of my pyjamas today at 10.20pm, that was when I was feeling well enough to face the day. I had a good half an hour of taking photos and then I called it quits and got back into my PJ's at 10.50pm.

Day 77

Have you ever played slip and slide human bowling? If we werent 500m away from an emergency room it would have been a terrible idea, but as most terrible ideas are, it was loads of fun!
I had the enjoyable, albeit mildly confusing pleasure of drinking beer and playing poker with my bible study friends.

Day 76

A Father takes his three grown up daughters to the cinema to see the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who. When he was younger he was an avid Doctor Who fan and the appreciation has been passed on to all three daughters and is now something that they can share together.
I climbed a tree today. I got a bit stuck. It was fun!

Day 75

I just dressed up in my dads clothes, did my make-up to look like a man, took photos and spent 15 minutes trying to masculinise myself on photoshop. I need a social life.

Day 74

It was really lovely seeing all my Wang friends again tonight, even if most of us looked like death.

Day 73

Scrubs is a lot like life. its funny and good but there is death everywhere and every so often I bawl my eyes out.

Day 72

I thought that the dinner I made tonight was really delicious. I mean, tofu will always and forever be disgusting but I managed to cook it in a way that didnt make me feel like I was ending some poor slugs life.

If this isn't the most the most adorable picture ever, I don't know what is! Emme finished her graduate diploma in linguistics so we were celebrating and  I snapped* one picture of the whole family and it turned out lovely and accidentally super colour co-ordinated.

Day 70

Nick and Mark came to visit tonight! I love being able to show college friends my home, however fleetingly they visit for.
Mark absolutely nailed looking badass in this photo!

Sorry about all the trampoline shots, but get used to it because we have a looong summer ahead of us! and please notice that I am standing on the roof, that was the point of the shot.

Day 68

You know what is a terrible thing to do? Ask a not pregnant woman how her pregnancy is going. I didn't do that, so that's good. What I DID do is forget that my boss' wife had already had a baby and then tell my boss that his wife is looking lovely and really pregnant. I am the worst.
 I cannot claim this photo at all, Mum was 100% that brains behind it and the one taking the photo.

Day 67

Mum twisted her ankle so we iced it and I made her Nutella toast, because Nutella toast makes everything feel better!

Day 66

Binny believes in ghosts. I don't, but in attempting to capture a ghosty photo I have creeped myself out and now I don't want to close my eyes..

Day 65

Today I was napping in my room at college and I heard a noise at my door, which was no doubt someone coming to hang out. I happily opened my eyes only to find myself lying in my car at a roadside stop, having just driven away from Mannix for the last time. It was so sad.

Day 64

Not once have I second guessed my decision to move out of Mannix, but on my last night at this place that I have called home for two years, I am feeling reluctant to let it go.

Day 63

I know how I cope with leaving people that I love. while I am still around them I am in a really really cranky mood and then once I am no longer with them, I cry. I am stoic during the actual farewells. Today it started to hit me that college is finishing and I was in my cranky phase.
in better news, Sam and I went for a walk, it was about 10km in total!

Its always cute when you meet a med kid who tries to explain what OSCEs are to you. Bitch please, I lived at Mannix for two years, I know what you're talking about.

Day 61

GUEST POST!!!

Not too sure what to do here, but I'll see what I can whip up. I've only just begun and Cece is asking "what'chya writin?" so she's clearly got a lot of trust in me right now. Well nerrr you'll find out soon enough, and Darwin Deez is awesome no matter what you say.

The average length of time an expat family will stay in Singapore is around 2 to 3 years, You'd think after 14 years of that I'd get used to people moving out of my life and moving on with their own. Well it's that time again in college where the returners start moving out and the kids that are staying start getting all melancholy and whatnot. But this time the returners that are going are MY Returners! and the realisation that these peers, these fellow freshers, these people I've been through so much with, dare I say it these friends, are going to move out and move on is slowly starting to get to me.

I'll know I'll miss my ragtag group of returners and I do hope we stay in touch always and forever, but I know that a) going our separate ways makes that difficult and b) the Mannix Bubble will eventually re-envelop some of us. So at the risk of sounding sentimental I'm going to use my guest post to say thank you to Cecelia, and all of my fellow returners that I've grown up with over the past two years, for the great times and the good memories, because we'll always have those with us wherever we go in life.

Day 60

This is me and Binny watching How I Met Your Mother. It is scary how frequently we end up lying on my bed watching TV in exactly the same positions.

Day 59

JZ and I went out tonight and what a swell night it was!
I ate what tasted like wet dog infused slug (turns out it was just muscle).  We stumbled upon a freestyle street dance-off competition and a bar in a community gardens. we ate ice cream and drank gin and tonics and I fell in love. Well, I mean The guy working in the kitchen at the blue train who spoke to us was pretty cute anyway.

Day 58

I didn't like this photo when I first took it but its growing on me. I'm not particularly caring about how I look in the photo, I just chucked a pose. I am distracted because I am talking on the phone to JZ. my camera is precariously balanced on a tripod on a chair. Just after the photo was taking my camera fell and I nearly died. I made the (un-ironed) skirt I am wearing this afternoon to celebrate the end of my exams. And I have a white top hat. I wear it because its awesome and I can.

Day 57

Before I studied  for Biophys I did a practise quiz, I
got 50.98%. After I studied I got 84.31%. We got a 73 for our group assignment. Me thinks a beach visit is allowed the day before my exam.

Day 56

What I should have been doing:
reviewing cue cards and studying for my exam.
What I was actually doing:
procrastitaking photos and experimenting with really slow shutter speeds.

Day 55

I handed in my assignment today! Not only did it include this picture of me showing my love for painkillers, it also had a big picture of Jack Sparr- CAPTAIN Jack Sparrow in it. How can I not get a good grade?

Day 54

I lost my remote. Who saw that coming? Its definitely in a safe place, that is all I can say.
Today I did 4 hours of study and and 4  hours of church. It's put me in good stead for the week to come.

Day 53

Turns out it's quite the adrenaline rush taking photos in a lift. Any moment someone could walk in and think you are super freaking weird.

Day 52

I just watched Troy. It swapped between brutal murder and ovary burstingly attractive people so quickly I don't know whether to be turned on or throw up.
