Not too sure what to do here, but I'll see what I can whip up. I've only just begun and Cece is asking "what'chya writin?" so she's clearly got a lot of trust in me right now. Well nerrr you'll find out soon enough, and Darwin Deez is awesome no matter what you say.
The average length of time an expat family will stay in Singapore is around 2 to 3 years, You'd think after 14 years of that I'd get used to people moving out of my life and moving on with their own. Well it's that time again in college where the returners start moving out and the kids that are staying start getting all melancholy and whatnot. But this time the returners that are going are MY Returners! and the realisation that these peers, these fellow freshers, these people I've been through so much with, dare I say it these friends, are going to move out and move on is slowly starting to get to me.
I'll know I'll miss my ragtag group of returners and I do hope we stay in touch always and forever, but I know that a) going our separate ways makes that difficult and b) the Mannix Bubble will eventually re-envelop some of us. So at the risk of sounding sentimental I'm going to use my guest post to say thank you to Cecelia, and all of my fellow returners that I've grown up with over the past two years, for the great times and the good memories, because we'll always have those with us wherever we go in life.
OH NO this post is going on way too long...
